Pettifox

Not sure what this flock were, they were too far away - even with the Binocs.
For those who have been to the Isles of Scilly, you may recognise the Red, white and blue boat over on the far side of the Estuary, it is Petifox, the rather beautiful sailing boat that used to do sailing trips around the islands and must have appeared and thousands of photographs as she was very photogenic. She was sold by Tresco Estates and was based on The Helford River - she is going to spend the winter here at Lelant as it is a more economical spot !
Behind Petifox is the not very pretty remains of the old power station at Hayle.
