Looking right over Hayle Towans to St Ives. The large beach - Porthminster, is one of our old favourites before we lived down here as we enjoyed walking in from Carbis Bay and eating at the recent award winning Porthminster Beach Cafe. In those days it was a warm and friendly place to sit outside looking at the beautiful view and have good food. I think it has now got rather above itself ! On the right hand side of the beach you can just about make out the Ped'n Olver Hotel, highly recommended !

From Helston to Camborne
It was my final appointment at the dentist in Helston today - lovely new cap firmly glued on and a couple of fillings on the other side and I set off to drive up to Camborne along a road which climbs quite high. I stopped on a lay by to carefully eat a sandwich and admire the stunning view right down to the North Coast.
