The Earl of Pembroke

This lovely vessel the Earl of Pembroke is out of the dry dock and now in the wet dock - I presume awaiting a window in the weather.
She was built in Pukavik, Sweden as "Orion" in 1945 or 1948, available sources disagree. Until 1974, the ship was used to haul timber in the Baltic Sea. Square Sail purchased the ship in 1979 and began restoration in 1985.  She is a replica of an 18th century wooden barque tall ship and is currently being used for historical films. She can also be rented for excursions.
Films & TV programs she has appeared in :-
The Hornblower Series III , Treasure Island, A Respectable Trade, Moll Flanders, Cutthroat Island
Frenchman´s Creek, Shaka Zulu, Longitude and Wives and Daughters
