Home again

We arrived home in time for a much needed cup of tea in a lovely sunny lounge. The sunset was even better than the sun rise had been although at first the sun was too bright for my camera
There always seems to be a layer of cloud there
A day like today, really lifts the spirits !

  1. I am so glad that it was a beautiful day, and I can understand how it would lift the spirits after all that rain, hail and wind.

    1. Sadly it was just the one day - probably why there were so many people out enjoying it !
Woke up to wind and grey skies with some rain expected later.
Sky News had a piece on the drought on the Western side of US presume that includes your area !

    1. Knee not bad at all thanks ! I was a bit concerned since I had decided to wear a fairly new pair of walking boots. I think we had somehow forgotten about the steep steps up out of Carbis Bay and then other ups and downs - never seemed that steep years ago he he ! It was always a favourite walk - one year we arrived at the cottage for our one night stay before heading to Scilly on SCIII. We sat outside at the Porthminster Cafe in glorious sunshine and had a lovely lunch - only to discover later that Pz. & Lands End had been in fog all day and there had been no flying - such a micro climate around St Ives. Still nowhere near a frost here this Winter - but grey and windy today. Sue

  3. The walk from Lelant to St Ives is one of our favourites, which we have to do every year! We set off from the Saltings and walk down the estuary. Then we get to the hilly bits and swear we will never do it again but the views are certainly worth it. So glad you've managed to have a dry day. It's been freezing here and heavy frosts for the past couple of nights. Dreading the half past six scraping of the car tomorrow morning. There has even been snow up in Kinloss, so hoping it does not come any further south. Susan
