Longships Lighthouse from Lands End

Since I hadn't been able to get a decent shot of the Longships Lighthouse from the top, I drove round to Lands End and took a few. Unfortunately the light was by now very grim as the huge black cloud passed over
and the splashes up the lighthouse were not as big as those on the land
Super to watch, but there were a few spots of rain by now
Time to walk back to the car and head for home !

  1. FATASTIC SUE. Thankyou so much, we have thoroughly enjoyed your time in Sennen. I heard on the radio today a weatherforecaster describing tomorrow's weather "as like being in a washing machine", Take care when your out on your walks.

    1. Was really really windy up at the top - decided I was better off down in The Cove. So lucky with the weather - didn't expect sunshine ! Think the wind will die down a bit by the morning !
Really must not give in to the temptation to go our and take photos, I've got lots of decorating etc lined up at the moment !

  2. Hi Sue, what a wonderful set of photos. We have seen Sennen Cove in rough weather, but never as bad as today. Must be very challenging for your photography! Well done, thoroughly enjoyed viewing. Take care and stay safe. Jane.

    1. It was wonderful to see and the sunshine was a bonus ! The camera did well - it's having to constantly clean the spray off the lens that's the problem ! It was only when I got to the top of the hill that the camera couldn't focus on the lighthouse and I realised I'd better walk back down ! Sue

    1. Really enjoyed being there and seeing a sight that I've not seen many times before - would have enjoyed it more if there'd been somewhere open to have a coffee ! Sue

  4. As I have only been to Sennen on a hot day last May, those photographs were stunning.
