Morning walkies

Jim was still feeling a bit feverish this morning - like he's got a cold coming - but it's not arriving ! ! So I took the dogs out this morning - trying to give them a longer walk, since yet again rain was expected later.
Some blue sky overhead and waves still rolling in to Trenow Cove
I was carefully (as I thought !) making my way down the steep and very slippery muddy path  when suddenly my feet both slipped at the same time and down I went, the trouble was it was so steep and slippery I couldn't get up, I had visions of me doing some kind of a "mud sledging" ride to the bottom, but managed to turn to my side and eventually get back on my feet, with two Pointers watching me and probably thinking that I'd have been so much better off if I had four feet and claws !

  1. Oh dear, not good, it was bound to happen sooner or later with all the rain we have been having, sounds like a nice soak in the bath might help and some Arnica to rub in for the bruising. Hope you will both feel better soon. Great photo's once again. Thankyou

  2. No bruising ! The mud was nice and soft and squishy ! ! - just hurt pride and very muddy jacket and trousers - was going to walk further, but the trousers felt so yucky !

  3. Oh poor you. Trouble is most of the walks around there have hills and staying on roads is not so nice. Take care.

    1. Might have to change our route for a while as the lower coastal footpath is not quite as bad - well in some places ! The path from the Car Park to Maen-du Point is pretty awful as so many people use it - but at least its flat !

  4. That is a very steep hill, and I can imagine how slippery it must get after the endless rain. It feels sad to be bemoaning heat and dry weather when probably most people in England would like to trade. However, that is why it is a green and pleasant isle - not an arid scrubby landscape which all the artificial irrigation tries to mask. Anyhow take care.

    1. I was remembering how we complained about the heat in the Summer - not as hot and dry as you are, but I don't think I could take it !
It's still not as cold as you would normally expect, but this darn rain just won't stop. The showers are really heavy - the rain is smashing onto the windows - just as Jim has taken the dogs down to the garden he he ! they won't like that !
