Afternoon walkies

When Jim took the dogs out for their afternoon walkies the tractors had moved onto the fields just below the footpath - they carried on working after it had got dark and it was pouring with rain - I assume to get this field finished
They walked up the hill towards Ednovean and round to Trebarvah
The view from the top is going to look very different for a while - once the polythene id down

    1. Yes, when it's wet it looks lovely - as it dries out and take a closer look you can see the sand in it.
It's amazing what they can grow on these fields and although at first we thought it was all so unsightly, we've grown to enjoy seeing the changes and the plants growing - like having your own allotment without the work !

    2. Great photo! So clear and brings back memories of morning tea at those tables of the Peppercorn Kitchen Cafe:)
I've been going back through your recent posts and enjoyed them all. Especially interesting to see remnants of the ancient forests and to know that St. Michael's Mount was positioned so far from the sea in years past. Maybe there once was an ancient land of Lyonesse!
Gastro has been doing the rounds here, plus connection to the net has been spasmodic. Today has been hot, 34C max but a welcome cool change arrived around tea time. There is definitely a hint of Autumn in the air.

    3. Do hope you are fully recovered from your "gastro" and that your internet behaves itself - ours is still pretty grim - we have to choose between having a working land line or having an internet connection - really annoying.
Know you're looking forward to cooler weather - whilst we are looking forward to some hopefully warmer and more settled weather. We have had several really lovely days, but unfortunately of course we've had lots of showers and gales. Sue

Have had to add the word verification as I am getting lots of obscene messages in the comments
