PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.
Your beach photos show a very sad story of what a beating the coast has taken over the last two and a half months. I hate to say it, but the weather people here are claiming that the polar vortex will drop south again this weekend and affect the northeast of America next week, so I am wondering if you will get another round of storms after that? It does seem to find its way across the Atlantic judging by the previous satellite images.
ReplyDeleteI did wonder whether or not to post the photos as tourism is so important to the area - but we hopefully have plenty of time for the sand to return and work to restore the promenade will certainly be done. I suspect the Jubilee Pool will take longer as funds will have to be found.
ReplyDeleteBad news about the Polar Vortex, it does seem to have been influencing our weather.
Just been reading about the huge amount of fishing/crabbing gear that has been lost and ruined one company with four boats reckon they may have lost 800-1000 crab/lobster pots. Devastating for businesses that have been unable to get out of port for weeks.
