More sand down there - just need to get rid of the seaweed
and there's lots of sand in the water
The Crows and Magpies are building their nests, but this isn't a sight you want to see on the roof of No 3 Withey Cottages !

  1. Indeed. Hopefully the proofing will put them off. We are trialling a new gel at work which spooks birds. If my wee swallows are evicted this year I may get some for Wendy and Jim for the gulls. Trying to book dates to visit, will keep you posted when we get them approved.

    Happy Maizey day!

    1. We're also keeping an eye on our roof as a pair of gulls did start to gather some twigs - think that the Crows saw them off - the crows are trying the Cedar Tree again - it moves much more than the Pine Trees and we really needed to have a big branch removed that is leaning on another, but it's too late now - wouldn't want to frighten them off.
Hope your new gel is successful - need to spray it on all the roofs around here !
Hope you manage to get the dates you want and that we can arrange some glorious weather for you ! Sue

  2. It's like a pod rather than a spray. Just new onto the market so will see how it goes. They do not understand that swallows always use the same site to nest so we will see whether nature or chemicals win.
