Mud not very glorious mud !

Unfortunately the last part of the footpath - at the bottom of a hill, was even worse than we had imagined, but we really didn't want to go all the way back up, so we gave it a go.  Jim was quite successful, although he sunk in to the top of his walking boot. Ever the gentleman, he found a rock to help me to get across the worst bit !
Unfortunately it didn't help - I sunk into the mud and as I tried to pull my boot out, my foot came out instead - we were roaring with laughter, but had to try to get the boot out !
I had to use the only implement I had - my walking pole handle - boy it was stuck in there - I was concerned that my pole might fall apart. But eventually out it came !
There it was - and of course I had to put it back on again to continue our walk - YUK ! !
Wooster was looking almost as muddy as me ! - sorry wouldn't pose today !
What we all want to know is how on earth did Tilly stay so clean !

    1. They were a cheap pair of Aldi waterproof boots - just couldn't find any that fitted this year. But I don't lace them too tight as I have problems with the small bones in my foot - at least I got it out and didn't have to hobble home with one boot and a sock ! Sue
