More of the ancient timbers at Wherrytown

You can see the bed of peat that they are lying in
Remains of the old workings of civilisation in the area - think this is ironworking
I suppose soon, it will all be covered up by sand again

  1. It is very interesting to see that as I am sure you are right in that it will soon be silted over. We are having a taste of your weather, blue sky then dark clouds appearing and a quick rain storm. It is not so windy today, but plenty of mess to clean up in the garden from yesterday when it was.

    1. Saw on TV that rain is expected for the Oscars. Must feel very different after all the hot dry. Amazing how much mess wind makes - there were lots more fallen trees on Friday and they're all just cut up to get them off the road and left there - and our garden is just a mess of bits off the trees and plants - more wind today, although not too bad - hopefully !

Have had to add the word verification as I am getting lots of obscene messages in the comments
