Afternoon dash about in the woods

We needed to go to the Vets to collect some special diet food that has been recommended for Wooster and since it had started to rain we all went. I collected the bag of food - almost £60 for just 7½kilos and then we went to Friendship Woods to give the dogs a run - couldn't really get any photos - too many trees and dogs too fast !
You can see what I mean !
On the way home we went past this lovely piece of thatching in St Hilary
Jim took this yesterday at Sithney - looks like a scene from times gone by !

  1. Great action photos of the dogs racing through the woods. The picture of the draught horse does look like a scene from past days, except for the bright blue plastic tarp. It would have been sacking or oilcloth in those days. Then I started looking at the horse tied up and noticing the handles of the cart on the ground, so hopefully he is very placid and doesn't swing his butt around. Hooves meeting handles gives me a vision of horse pulling back on that lead rope, snapping it and running off! There I conjured up such a scene. No wonder my family call me a pessimist, but I've been to too many horse shows where disasters happen and scare everyone.

    1. Remember seeing a travelling guy from the permanent site in Leicester with a trotting horse that had nasty sores on it's flanks - really upsetting to see.
