Afternoon walkies
After a nice cup of tea, we set off on our afternoon walkies heading over the hill to Trenow. It was still very hot and sunny
and Mount's Bay was still looking like a lake
The good news is that everywhere we went we could see that the poor Tamarisks are starting to send out new shoots
It looked like a wonderful day to be out walking with a calm sea for the watersport enthusiasts, if not the surfers. The sailing ship was magnificent and so nice that they popped into Mounts Bay. Seeing the Tall Ships in Falmouth in 1966, or was it 67, is something I shall always remember. I am so glad that the event is there again this year. Update on our fires if you are interested - winds coming off the Pacific now so we are back to our usual May weather - May Grey- higher humidity and an easier job for the firefighters to contain the last few fires. Temperatures will be 30 deg F less this week compared to last. Hurray!
We have enjoyed our spell of good warm weather - looks like it is coming to an end now. So pleased that your wind has changed - don't think I could have survived that heat !
