The Lifeboats - what it was all about !

Under a huge black cloud the RNLI Penlee AWB the Ivan Ellen their small Y-boat and the Inshore boat the Paul Alexander arriving from Newlyn
It poured with rain as they arrived
Racing around
with the small Y-boat which is carried on top of the Ivan Ellen until needed
All three - waiting for the results
Everyone waiting patiently - but it was taking a while - as we now know it was very close !
Whilst we were waiting we noticed that it was looking very grim behind The Mount
This display really kept us entertained while we waited
All done - helmets off !

  2. Sure was ! I really felt for visitors to Penzance who knew nothing about the Pirates on the Prom as they must have thought we'd all gone mad !

  3. Well done Sue, just caught up on your photos, have been in soggy grey Bristol, nothing like the lovely day you had yesterday. Really enjoyed the pirate photos, and the lifeboat ones are excellent. Thank you for great photography on such a chaotic day ! Jane .

    1. A pity you had rain in Bristol - we had a very wet Sunday and a not great Monday so deserved a fine day or two ! Really enjoyed taking the Lifeboat photos - just take lots and see what they are like later !
Busy getting ready for Scilly now, so might have to cut back on the number of photos I do each day. Sue
