PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

Afternoon walkies

Yet again by the time it was walkies time the sun had gone behind dark clouds - we took the dogs to the fields above Trenow
Still misty across the bay and I assume we looked the same to them
Jim decided to climb to the top of his favourite spoil heap
and of course his faithful friends went with him
This is what he saw on the top growing on nothing but stones - English Stonecrop
We then went home and got ready to go out for Dinner with Jim's Sister at Trelowarren nr. Helston

    Trelowarren is one of my favorite places to take visitors. Have you ever walked up to the fogou on the road in? I am very interested in prehistoric sites in Cornwall.I am assuming that you went to the restaurant in the Trelowarren courtyard which has been closed for renovations for a while. If so, how was it?

      Hi, yes we have been there before also, as it is handy for Jim's sister & husband who have a flat at Coverack.
      The food was OK, but the service was strange and rather slipshod - no drinks offered for 15 minutes - no bread offered and when Jim asked he got the starter of bread & Olive oil. Something that I really hate is having to pay £3.00 extra for a few new potatoes - an appalling habit that is appearing nowadays. Overall I enjoyed it - but the toilets are still across the yard - thank goodness it wasn't raining.
      Have never really walked around the estate - it's a heck of a way round to drive out !

    Good to hear your take on the service. Drinks, water and bread should appear immediately while perusing the menu. So many places don't train their servers properly. I have only had lunch there previously with my friend from Mawnan, and it was really enjoyable as we were practically the only people there. I would like to take Roland there when he is with me this time as it was closed last trip over.
    There is another place that gets a good review, between Mawnan and Constantine but I will have to search its name out - I thought it was the old Vyvyan estate, but can't remember. Trengilly Wartha is another place locals in Mawnan seem to like as well, but it is definitely different to how I remember it in the early 70s.
