Quay Day

Back to Penzance for a quick look at Quay Day - although I'd looked at the boats yesterday. Here is the lugger Happy Return up against the quay
I then walked through the fairground with all the noise and smells of food - but some things like this roundabout never change !
Just as well I hadn't taken Wooster with me - he'd have been trying to grab one of these Huskies
Through the fair and onto The Promenade
The only promenade in Cornwall !
Still plenty of repairs to be done - all these big chunks of granite
need to be put back down here !
But they're working on the walk to Newlyn from Wherrytown - known as Newlyn Green
When I reached the Boating Lake I was rather disappointed to find no boats on the water - but there were some stunning models
At last one was put in
Followed by another

    1. The gardens were not too badly hit and the Bowling Green looks fine - amazing when you think of what they went through ! As for the Promenade - that need a huge number of new slabs as many are cracked as well as the ones that were taken up altogether - but still a super walk. Sue
