PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

Monday

It was back to  a mixture of mist and damp and patches of sunshine today. It was still quite warm when we walked the dogs this afternoon although it was rather cloudy.
The Wild Charlock is popping up everywhere - but I thought it would brighten up the shot
Wild Thyme (I think) out on Maen-dhu Point
Almost high tide again - this time with some little waves rolling in. 
In the garden the Hydrangeas are starting to flower
and the hardy Fuschias are starting to look good

    Oh my goodness you can see how much the waves have eaten the cliffs. 5 weeks to go.

      5 weeks ! that long ! First sighting of the cliffs can be a bit of a shock for people who haven't seen any photos since the storms. Although the sand level is still way down on the last few years there is plenty there. Spring tides at the moment are bringing the water close to the cliff bottom, but fortunately the weather has been calm in our part of the bay. Won't be long until you start that long long drive. Noticed that the young gulls are walking about on the roof down at Withey Cottages - not sure if they've fledged yet. Sue

    Sue, I despair when I looked back over your posts since we left Cornwall on Thursday morning. Arriving home late last night in the dark, we were greeted this morning with a brown and dried up garden and veggie plots which will need a lot of work to replace. I so enjoyed the green and wealth of flowers while we were there, and my clematis is a joke compared to the vines on the cottages in your photo. Even Brooklyn where we stopped to see my daughter had beautiful healthy plants growing in window boxes and front yards. Too much sun and no rain isn't all it is cracked up to be!

      Everything does seem very lush so far this Summer - sadly that includes the footpaths as well !
      So pleased that you enjoyed your trip - seeing Cornwall in Summer, it was bound to make you really notice the huge difference in climates. Do hope you manage to revive your garden and veggie patch - and even have some rain ! Sue
