  1. What time does it get dark there now? Just wondering about driving down from Heathrow in mid October, and whether it is wise to attempt it after a long flight which gets in late afternoon.

    1. On a dulll day like today it was dark early - round about 8.30-45pm but of course by October it will be much earlier.
Just checked the times of sunset 1st October 7.02pm so it will be twilight in 30 mins or so. By the 20th sunset is 6.23 and then at the end of the month we do the hour and it gets much worse Oh dear, don't want to think of that !
By the way the Cob men haven't been back yet - roof still being done ! Sue

  2. Thanks. It does mean a dark ending to my drive on Oct 16th, so possibly a stop with my Somerset cousin near Taunton. Thanks for keeping an eye out for the cob van as I will need to get estimates sometime soon.
