The tide was getting very low, but this pier still had water so the ferries were still going
Back to the car park and this lovely peaceful walk that goes off it - great for giving the dogs a quick run when they've been on their leads all day - and there's even a little stram for a paddle and drink
Out to Pendennis Point for an Ice Cream and a look at what was in Falmouth Bay. This is Treasure a heavy lifting vessel that lowers itself into the water to lift rigs etc to move them around
The Stavros S Niarchos out in Falmouth Bay - although she's in the Carrick Roads now
Eldorado - not shown as being in the race
One for Lynn - Trelissick House
St Anthony Lighthouse - what a view you'd get of the Parade of Sail from there
When we got home I noticed that the little old timber holiday home known as Coastview is coming down - bit by bit to make way for a lovely new house.

  1. More great photo's today, we got as far as Trelissick and walked down over the field after viewing the 5 rooms in the house, could have given you a wave had we known you were the other side. We were hoping ot see some of the Tall ships but no luck, THANK YOU

    1. At least you chose the fine day - really hot in Falmouth as it was mainly sheltered from the wind. All the tall ships except Mercedes will stay in port until Sunday. Mercedes goes out into Falmouth Bay taking lucky passengers out for what must be a superb experience. Sue

  2. Wonder what will be there next time we are down? We did notice that some of the windows had gone.

  3. Thanks for the Trelissick picture. I slept in the top left room (behind the trees) when my mother and I had to sleep there one night (for insurance purposes). Neither of us slept very well as the house was quite spooky at night.
Funnily enough San Diego had a Tall Ships parade on Thursday, but nothing much was made of it here, and I didn't even read about it until after it was over. City vs small town living, I guess. I know which I prefer though. Gorgeous pictures and the sky is so blue.
