Sunday

First thing this morning I noticed HMS Tyne heading out across the bay - as usual it was really tricky getting a photo of a grey ship on a grey sea !
As one of the Chinese owned bulk carriers left the bay making for Rotterdam, this Liberian owned 270 metre Oil products tanker DS Warrior arrived awaiting orders
Looking over the bay to the old Penlee Lifeboat House - with it's doors open, awaiting visitors for the first time in 25 years as part of the Penlee Lifeboat Open Day - and we were heading over there.

  1. Thank you Sue for your wonderful pictures of the Open Day, we really wanted to attend this very special event, but unfortunately had to leave Cornwall this morning. We hoped you'd gone and thanks for posting photos of your visit. Also appreciated the illuminated St. Michaels Mount

    1. So pleased that you enjoyed the photos - it was both moving and enjoyable at the same time - celebrating the courage of the crew of the Solomon Browne as well as all lifeboatmen. Sue
