The Craft Fair

Our beautiful little Church was looking very bright and colourful with all the craft ware laid out

and next door in the Church Room there was a lovely ploughman's or soup being served by the hardworking ladies in the kitchen
Really busy and not enough room for everyone at the same time
The renovation on this little cottage in the centre of the village is coming on - it's had a new outer coating - not sure what of !
Not many flowers still around, so it was nice to see this - no idea what it is !

  1. Plant could be Ceratostigma Griffithii or one of the the smaller Veronica variety. Craft Fair looked well attended, couldn't make it unfortunately. Great to see the cottage being renovated, am I right in thinking it was the same cottage that had the windows covered over some months back when we visited? Great photo's as always. Thanks so much.

    1. Thanks for the plant identification - not noticed it before.
Yes the Craft Fair was very well attended - much better than some of the previous "do's" we've had in the last year or so. The lunches were really going down well - people waiting for someone to go so that they could sit down - we need a bigger hall !
Yes the cottage was the one that had been boarded up - it was in a terrible state when they took the boards down because it had got extremely damp inside - I think we were told that one of the floors was earth - wet earth ! But it's being done properly and a lot of the height of the garde at the back has been removed - not sure if more needs to go - then they have permission to create a parking space there. Will be great when it is done as it will complement the one next door that has been done so beautifully. Sue

  2. I am sorry to have missed the craft fair, but as I have to return to Perranuthnoe to pick up my ring next Thursday, I stayed put locally today. I walked down to the Helford Passage and along to the far beach where I did a bit of foraging for oysters. I found eight lovely ones which I enjoyed for dinner. I think Jim might like a walk down there at low tide. Isn't he an oyster lover?

    1. So pleased that you managed to find some Oysters - wonder ow many people know they are there - Jim likes them in Tempura batter, but although he's tries quite a few times he's not keen on them raw. Pity the weather has been a bit gloomy - the forecast is showing a little sunshine during the next week, but only if you look at the right forecast lol . Hope your ring is OK Sue
