The National Trust's Penrose Estate

It was the dogs turn to enjoy themselves, so on the way home we stopped off at The Penrose Estate
It was really warm and sheltered there and all looking lovely and green
Lots of Sweet Chestnuts for the lucky squirrels
and they've been at them already - one of our previous Pointers used to pick these spikey things up and carry it around - not sure why !
Some nice new seats have been put in some lovely spots on the walk
and it's certainly getting really busy on all the footpaths there as they've done a lot of work in the last year to attract people to the area.
This is the only lovely woodlands we see down here
The dogs had a great time dashing about in the woodland above the path - probably Squirrel hunting
Herd of cows enjoying the lovely parkland field
We called into the stables for a cup of tea and then headed home

  1. It's so green! I am really craving that serenity from green grass and trees. Also can't wait to go oyster hunting on my favorite part of the Helford - ssh!

    1. Leices. had lots of beautiful woodland and it's probably the only thing we miss down here, so we love to go to Penrosem just for the change of scene - due to the failure of the potato crops in front of us, we don't even have green fields this year ! Sue
