We then walked up to the even windier and colder Pendennis Point - lots of people had already gone - or, rather were trying to go - since lots of the folk who'd watched Argus leaving the dock area had then driven up here and were just crammed into the car park as well as all along the road !
Now under her own steam, Argus had turned across the bay and the Pilot Launch was heading in alongside

Assume there was a ladder for him to climb down
 The helicopters still flying around

 Then she turned
 and off she went

Pilot boat heading back into Falmouth
into the gloom she went - good wishes and good luck to all !
We then drove round to Falmouth and another trip to Trago to take back the lights we bought the other day - for the last time. We then drove back to Pendennis Point to eat a bite of lunch
The weather was looking much darker and more threatening and it started to rain not long after we got home. The wind has really got up and the dogs were quite happy to stay on their beds

  1. Well, I said I wanted some wetter weather, and now I have it. How nice to see everyone say goodbye to the medical ship. It is a daunting and frightening task that they face.

    1. Yes, they will need to have all their courage to deal with this terrible illness.
Looks like it's going to be really windy for quite a few days now.

    1. Yes, since Argus is based in Falmouth, I think we all felt that we wanted to go and see them off to wish them well. Hard to imagine what they will have to see and deal with once they arrive. The relatives of those on board must be very concerned but I suppose it's all part of the life in the services to do what you are told to do.
As for Wooster - he found his half ball again this morning and has moved it closer to the garden gate - I think he has a plan ! Sue
