Godolphin Woods

Since we had wanted to do a quick trip into Penzance we put the dogs into the car and carried on to Godolphin Woods for a change and hoping for some Autumn colour. There was some, but too mixed in with all the other bushes etc
The Ferns are still nice and green at the moment
Will have to look the fungi tomorrow when my brain is awake !

Still it was very pleasant and the dogs loved it as always
When we got home we were greeted by this odd cloud formation which was a long line of  rainclouds stretching from East to West

As I took those photos my nostrils were suddenly assailed by the smell of the brown stuff being spread on the top field again

  1. That first picture of Godolphin Woods has to be in your calendar next year. The colours are fantastic. It sounds pretty sappy to say it, but the woods and stream look like Fairyland - if there was such a thing.

    1. Possibly Godolphin is a bit far for "qualify" for the Perranuthnoe Calendar. But it did look good with the Autumn colours - wish there were more of the deciduous trees all together rather than odd ones. The dogs love it of course, although we could hear Pheasants they were a long way off today. Sue
