Monday

We were expecting heavy rain today - plus the usual showers, but Jim managed to take the dogs up the hill in the dry.
It was already quite windy, but we knew it was going to get worse as the day wore on
On my way home from Penzance I popped up to Trebarvah to check if the new Log Store had arrived and since the rain hadn't arrived yet I wandered to the edge of the field and took a couple of shots - sorry I didn't have the right boots on to go any further into the mud !

A distant shot of  the LPG tanker Bayamo leaving the bay - having obviously given up hope of the weather improving.
Just thought I'd show you why we didn't go anywhere this afternoon - this was the rain - which unfortunately decided to come into the lounge under the patio door - we were continually mopping up for two hours.  Strange  that it was fine all through the Winter storms !
This was the wind - several gusts of 55mph as well as the maximun of 58mph
