Mousehole to Newlyn

On the way back to the car, we stopped off at The Rockpool Cafe that is just below the Car Park. We had lovely cakes and coffee and gave the dogs their lunch. What a super spot and it was still lovely and warm in the sun
The new Celtic Cross out on St Clement's Isle - here's hoping it doesn't have to cope with the battering the old one had last Winter
We then drove down the road towards Newlyn and stopped to take the dogs for proper walk as they have been on their leads all day - and it was lovely not to walk on mud
PZ542 Beam Trawler Filadelfia heading out to the fishing grounds
So nice to see this side of The Mount for a change

Followed by Beam Trawler Twilight III

Gwavas Lake looking just like  -- well a lake !
Gry Maritha passin g The Mount on her way back to Penzance
As we drove back through Penzance she was just arriving
I was a bit concerned about this kayaker- but Gry stopped and waited - I think for the gates to the wet dock to open
A closer view of the dredger Magrethe Fighter still dredging around the Harbour

  1. On the picture second up, are they the telescopes at Goonhilly? I enjoyed travelling along with you to Mousehole and Newlyn. I was admiring the stone on the cottage at the back of the harbour where they were pulling up the boats.

  2. Hi Lyn, yes they are the dishes at Goonhilly - amazing how they show up - quite a long way away. I love the weathered stone cottages at Mousehole - it's a super place - just too busy to want to live there, but that side of the bay is so active and interesting. Sue
