Penzance, this morning

On a windy morning with a really rough sea I went down to Penzance to watch Scillonian III leave for Scilly on her last trip of the year
Some of the brave folks who were going to travel out today - it was obviously going to be a slow and very rough crossing
Lyonesse Lady the Inter Island goods boat, out of the dry dock but still not ready to leave for the islands
I was intending to watch SCIII leave from the end of the dock, but I think you can see why I moved round to the side of Jubilee Pool above Battery Rocks
As usual she reversed a long way
She then turned - with passengers still outside - wonder how long they stayed when she really started to heave up and down

Unfortunately she then went into the shadow of a huge black cloud - but I quite like the effect
and off she went - when I got home I could still see her through the 'scope and she was really heaving up and down quite violently.
