Afternoon walkies

The clouds had cleared away during the afternoon but when we walked the dogs the sun was just about to sink into what seems to be the usual line  of clouds out to the W

The sun just peeking through the line of cloud as we walk past Boat Cove
 Lovely golden path
 Then it was gone
Still it was better than all the grey we had yesterday
Nice pink clouds to the East
 Seal just of Maen-dhu Point
Seemed to be just lolling about
But when I saw the photos on the PC I could see it looked a bit knocked about
and that was it !

  1. Yes, I noticed the gash on the seal's back, so hope it is OK. We have lots of seals in San Diego right now and they are always being rescued by Sea World because they are dehydrated or starving. Usually the injury is from a boat propeller, but sometimes it is humans, grr! Seals raise a big debate here as they encourage Great Whites, and there has also been a pod of orcas off the coast and that is far south for them to come.

    1. Haven't seen many seals at all this year - thought that this one was close to land because it was in trouble - hoping the good folk from Gweek would come and rescue it ! They seem to like the Mousehole side of the bay - probably due to the smell of fish in the water from all the trawlers heading for Newlyn.
Pleased that we don't have to think about Great Whites, but the Marine Discovery boat Shearwater has seen 4 different types of Whale this Summer, as they often swim with Dolphins - not the big guys though. Did your rain ever arrive ? Sue

  2. Yes, rain came, but was not as heavy here as further north.
