Afternoon walkies

We went out a little earlier to make sure we would see  the sunset - if there was one !  Same story, clouds out to the SW spoiling it  !

Still it was quite a nice view from Maen-dhu Point - even if it was rather cold again

  1. Such clear, crisp light and lovely photos of the village. Had to laugh at the Elf and Safety one on your Saturday blog, but then realized it isn't a laughing matter. I had someone fall off our roof this year and it was not pretty. Have to tell you about it when we meet up next time for tea and cake. I expect the Mawnan lights are on too, and I will be sorry to miss their get together in the village square, and the one down at Durgan too.

    1. I have to say I was a bit horrified when I saw the guys up there on the pub roof, but it's the way they've always done it - the "dismount" was worse - they carefully slid down on their bottoms to a wall below then down - naughty really.
We love to drive around the villages in the dark at Christmastime they all look so lovely. Although there was a tradgedy a few years ago when a coach on a village tour overturned close to Godolphin woods and two elderly ladies died - the road was a sheet of ice. Hope we don't get quite as cold as that ! Although we are due to get our own "Polar" icy cold weather event this week ! Hope it's not as bad as the US version ! Sue
