Monday

Another glorious start to the day, with lots of contrails from the jets that pass overhead
The sun just about to appear over the hill
Sadly it didn't last long, cloud rose up from the West
I called in at Oamaru at lunchtime and it was all very grey & dull
Looking down to Churchtown and it looks like the cable work to The Mount continues
Jim took his small camera when we walked the dogs - sadly the battery died - not a great day - sorry !

  1. It is grey and gloomy here too, but no sign of the enormous rainstorm we are supposed to be having. It has rained a bit north of us in Orange County, but I am hoping that they can't be wrong this time, and we should get some tonight. The garden is gasping for it.
I love how golden the sky appears in your morning photos. I remember that the light was just like that as the sun rose over the Helford when we were at Bosloe and sitting in bed drinking tea while watching the river turn golden too. I will miss it this year.

    1. Never think of you having grey and gloomy weather - do hope you get the wished for rain - although not too much, which is how we seem to get it these days.
The mornings have been wonderful, but the cloud keeps coming back. We have a lovely area of high pressure building to the South, but I think it might be full of cloud as well ! Sue
