Dinner at The Victoria Inn

My starter - Camomile tea smoked duck - endive - blood orange - pomegranate & molasses dressing - wonderful
Jims was Tempura battered fish & prawns - again delicious
Really superb main course of Venison with roast potatoes carrots and red & green cabbage - we both had this and once again it was superb - clean plates all round
We both had the same desert - very unusual for us, Sticky ginger pudding with toffee sauce & poached pear with ice cream - yummy !  We then staggered up the hill to home !

    1. Always a worry when somewhere like The Victoria changes hands, but in this case I think it is for the better - fresh ideas and the drive to want to continue with the sucessful record it already has. Need to have enough of a "local" customer base to keep going during the Winter and so far it's going well ! So pleased ! but it won't do anything for my waistline !

    1. The weather sontinues to be showery - took the dogs downstairs first thing this morning and as I openened the door to the garden down it came again ! Plenty of blue sky again. The Cabin have just put up plans to extend their indoor eating area as it's rather small - fortunately there was only 2 people and a small dog in there already as Wooster & Tilly take up a lot of room ! Both the wind and sea have dropped off this morning. Sue
