Saturday

The strong Northerly wind was bringing a variety of ships into Mount's Bay to take shelter as rounding Lands End and heading North into the wind was not a nice option. This was the 91 metre General cargo vessel Verity arriving this morning.
Mixture of dark clouds and blue sky again
Jim took the dogs for a quick walk in the really nasty cold NW wind

By 11am there were four of them
Trinity House vessel Patricia to the left with Verity
Amadeus Silver - 88 metre general cargo vessel over towards Penlee Quarry

140 metre container ship Canopus just arriving for shelter
A very different way of travelling - the amphibious craft heading over to The Mount

Canopus at anchor across the bay
I've just looked at the speed of the vessels that are heading North and their speed is extremely slow -  the waveheight out at Sevenstones Lightship is over 17ft and the wind still gusting over 50mph
