Truro/Newquay/Truro & home !

We arrived in Truro and managed to find some suitable tiles for the Oamaru Kitchen quite quickly, we then went and parked the car under this amazing Moresk Viaduct - dating from 1902 - I noticed the second set of unused pillars and looked them up when I got home
They were from the original 1859 Carvedras Viaduct designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel - the structure above the pillars were made of wood rather than stone - possibly why it was replaced
Nice coloured new growth on these trees
We then made our way cross country to Newquay where Jim needed to visit a dental clinic for believe it or not a colour match for his new cap - which is right at the back of his mouth where no one will see it  Hmm !
We were early enough to be able to walk the dogs along the footpath alongside the River Gannel which runs out to sea between Crantock & Newquay

 Red Shank
Newquay Town ahead - on the other side of the river
We walked back to the car along side the boating lake, with it's many resident birds
Including these Muscovy Ducks - Wooster was a little intimidated by them as they are quite big and not very friendly don't think they liked the dogs looking at them - dogs were on their leads of course !

After Jims visit to the Dentist we set off back to Truro - it's not far - only around 12 miles and went to his usual dentist to get another temporary cap fitted
