PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

Afternoon walkies

 Since it was such a nice day and we were both feeling a bit better we walked the dogs over the hill to Trenow - the slope that runs up past The Dubban felt rather steep - so out of conditions at the moment
 A very misty Mount
 With a rather watery sun
 Down the hill the other side

 Little Egret with a nice Springtime plume down in Boat Cove
 The sun was managing to stay out of the cloud

 The big muddy puddle is all dried out - thanks to our sandy soil

 The sand has been moving around again
After we got home the sun became a big red ball in the sky - for some reason the camera sees this

    Excellent news that you are both feeling better and managed the walk. I am terrible at walking up any kind of slope at all, and always sound out of breath. I was amazed at how quickly that puddle disappeared from the last time you posted the picture. Going back to your Monday post, you are right about less bulb fields. On the way into Mawnan there used to be fields on both sides full of daffodils, the last time I was there at that time of year, they were fallow, so hopefully the daffodils will reappear. However the farmers round there seem to be finding it more lucrative to try to sell off agricultural land so a development can be built. It has been opposed in the village as the school is full, and it would be a pity to spoil the pretty entry to the village. It is particularly attractive in the spring with daffodils and cherry trees blooming by the village sign. That is where the entrance road to the new housing would be - shame.

      Lovely sunshine again this morning ! Think that the unpredictable weather was all part of the ploughing up of the bulb fields - The Dutch grow them under glass and they're so cheap and early. I've seen what a palaver it is to get the buls flowering early on Scilly - dig them out, chill them, then put them back in the ground etc. Just not enough money in it. Problem seems to be that they always want to develop large sites. If they just added a few affordable homes in each village enabling "locals" to live where they wish, - close to their family it would not change the villages too much, but would make a huge difference. Sadly it's always too many unsuitable houses and so often in the wrong place. Sue
