Afternoon walkies
Still sunshine and showers this afternoon
We managed to get round in the dry
Looking past Oamaru Barn to Mount's Bay
The sun might have been shining, but the Northerly wind was bitterly cold - time to head for home
It looks so sunny and picturesque that it is hard to imagine how bitingly cold it must have been. As for us, after a brief respite, the temps are climbing again as there is another Santa Ana on the way, so 80 today and higher by the weekend. We used to only get these infrequently but this must be the third or fourth since the New year. Climate is definitely changing.
When the sun is out and you find some shelter from the wind it's really pleasant.Unfortunately the long term forecast seems to indicate this cold weather continuing for the rest of the Spring. I think we are still really feeling the cold after our virus and we're both still coughing in the wind Your 80 sounds good to me - but I'd probably be complaining after a couple of days ! Do hope that the warm winds don't cause any fires, they always look so scary when we see them on TV. I was reading yesterday that the Gulf Stream is weakening - which will affect UK. Just hope we have a good Summer - Always good to see Cornwall when it's busy even though it does drive you mad !
