Easter Sunday

It all started so well with blue sky and sunshine, then cloud came across amd it was back to a flat white sky
During the morning the sky cleared again and we had some lovely sunshine
Back to cloud as we walked the dogs along the fields above Trenow
Empty fields waiting for the plough and to start all over again
We then walked up the road and turned down the footpath that leads to Ednovean
Nice glimpse of The Mount through the trees, with a lovely golden bulb field

One of the Border Agency Patrol vessels arriving in the bay
Welcome home Royal Fleet Auxilliary vessel Argus arriving in Mount's Bay in the evening sun after her deployment to Sierra Leone to help in the fight againt ebola.
In recognition of her contribution to operations in Sierra Leone and deployments spanning back to 1982, the Defence Secretary and Chairman of the Admiralty Board, Michael Fallon MP, has awarded Argus an Admiralty Board Letter of Commendation.
The commendation is extremely rare. The last similar award was made in 1939 to the family of Captain Edward Kennedy, who was killed when his ship HMS Rawalpindi was sunk following heroic action against the German Battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. It is believed that this is the first time this award has been granted to an operational unit.
They appear to be heading round to Falmouth at the rather early time of 06.30 on Tuesday morning - we really wanted to go and welcome her home, but that's a bit too early for us !
