  1. Were these the Norfolk ones ? so cheerful aren't they ? I did buy a variety of colours but the orange always do a 'takeover bid' ! hope it's nice and clear for the flypast. Thanks Sue.macca.

    1. Couldn't detect any Norfolk accents he he ! Think they should be yours as I sprinkled them into the gravel as the flowers beds were rather full. I suspect our trusty garden helper weeded out some in the flower bed as it seems to be rather empty of all poppies. We have to keep an eye on him as he's a little too enthusiastic at times !
The fly-past caused a few caustic comments since they had put out a route and hundred were out and many many people either didn't get to see them at all, or just saw a few speck in the distance. They missed out Porthleven and came over land to Mount's Bay - where we saw them, were too far off from Penzance/Newlyn so many children etc who had been taken down to the promenade and Newlyn Green were very disappointed, so the Lifeboats put on a special show for them and waved to them instead - good job ! The helicopter then went to Lands End and turned back inland near Sennen leaving I gather many people out near St Just and Pendeen standing there wondering what was going on - such a pity - still we were lucky to see them and get a few photos. Dreading the day when they are finished and those in need will have to rely on the privatised helicopters (2) Will they be able to turn out in the same conditions - we shall see ! Sue
