Afternoon walkies

The area behind the car park at The Victoria has been cleared and gravelled - looking very neat
 Born a Pointer, always a Pointer !
 Silver Explorer still at anchor
Mist and low cloud decending onto the hills again
Common Buzzard has been around a lot today
Amazing cloud formation and light over the sea - think it might have been a weather front passing over
At the same time, Silver Explorer was making her way out of Mount's Bay heading for Pembroke

  1. Sue, you gave me a nostalgia hit when I went back through your photos and looked at days past. it was the picture of Trelissick House bringing memories of when I lived on the estate for a couple of years, and I even spent a night in the main house too - didn't sleep a wink as it was too creepy. then Enys where I took my husband to see the bluebells just a week ago. Although you say they are not as good as years past, to us they were stunning and the scented air lifted our spirits. I also liked the primulas by the lake and the walled garden. It was a lovely afternoon topped off by coffee-walnut cake and Victoria sponge. I swear if I lived in Cornwall I would be the size of a house!
Tamarisks are my new favorite tree since seeing your photos, and I am also partial to one called the purple cloud tree. neither of these would do well in California though, sigh.

    1. Hi Lynn, I always think of you and your life at Trelissick whenever we see the house. I suspect that the bluebells might have been a bit better when you saw them - must have blommed a few at a time this year, rather than the massed showing !
All the cakes are very hard to resist and I'm easily tempted. The Tamarisks seem to be having a good year this year - we really should have some in the garden as they would stand up to the wind. Do hope that the sun will shine tomorrow, hate to disappoint the visitors. Sue
