Friday - back home in Perranuthnoe

Well !  we arrived back safely if a little exhausted after our holiday on The Isles of Scilly.  I promise I will sort and post more of the photos - sadly after dinner and our evening walkies I was just too tired to sort and edit photos.   Amazing to see the difference 10 days makes - whilst we have been away the Wild Charlock has appeared from nowhere !
Lovely morning with blue sky and sunshine and not much wind !

Tilly checking out the view - making sure nothing has changed
Wooster also taking a look around - looking very fit and well muscled after his holiday - wish I felt the same !
Beach looking wonderful !
 Sun still shining this afternoon

We may only have the one proper Island but we love it !
People still enjoying the beach late this afternoon
Oak Eggar Moth Caterpillar on the footpath
Think I'd be censored if I put what I think !

  1. Welcome back. Great to see photo's of the changes down your way with the countryside coming into bloom. Look forward to seeing your photo's of the Scillies whenever you have the time. Love the photo of the Mount with the charlock in the foreground, possibly one to consider for the calendar next year. Thanks so much.

    1. Good to be back home - much as I love Scilly it's hard work when you take dogs over there - walking all day and an extra one in the evenings - then there's all the food !
Just amazed by the Charlock - just appeared from nowhere !

    1. Sadly I was just feeling too tired at the end of the day to edit the photos - pity really as the Star Castle wi-fi was much much faster than mine ! They don't seem to do Rushy Bay landings any more - possibly health and safety ! ! I'm sure you'll manage - especially if you try to go on one of the newer boats with a door instead of the old ones where you have to clamber over ! Tilly made a hash of one or two "exits" I think she "thinks" a good jump, but the back legs don't quite give her the right push - still with a bit of help she made it ! Sue

  3. Looking forward to seeing the holiday photographs. I must get up the energy to visit the Isles of Scilly as it is silly when they are so close to Cornwall. I do not like boat travel at all so that is offputting. I am a terrible sailor.
Evening parking rates seem a bit much to me. It is the same down at the Helford Passage after May 1st, so you have to pay to use the pub there.

    1. Seems to be getting expensive to park anywhere now - the few spots around penzance that were free are all disappearing and the cheap ones are no longer cheap ! Then they wonder why the town is quiet ! I'm sure you'd love Scilly and flying would be your best option, but as you can see today - when we keep getting fog you end up on the boat anyway ! Sue
