Great Porth - I think
The Terrace at Hell Bay Hotel - lovely and sheltered and the sun had come out !

Looking over to Tresco with Cromwell's Castle below and King Charles Castle on the top of the hill
When we got back to St Mary's it was to this dramatic scene - there had been a chemical spill on the quay - so it was closed for the big clean-up
Passengers for Scillonian were being loaded onto - Firethorn or in this case Seahorse and then had to board through the lower door. The Luggage containers were loaded onto Lyonesse Lady and then lifted onto SCIII using her own crane

No sunset as the rain arrived, so no evening walkies !
Thank you for sharing your holiday photos with us, they are superb, how do you find the time?
ReplyDeleteThe 'spillage' was reported on Radio Cornwall when they did the usual morning interview with the Harbourmaster, but your photos really show the seriousness with which it was taken, even if it looks like Aliens have landed! Good to see photos of the Scillonian at the 'other' end of her journey, not just in Penzance. Hope you have a smooth return crossing Kathy P.
Lots more photos to come - just too tired after a days walking then dinner and more walking - pity as the wi fi at The Castle was soo much better than mine.
DeleteScilly was looking wonderful for most of the time - except when it was foggy ! - possibly more fog expected on Saturday so SCIII is going to do a Sunday Sailing again. Sue
