Another warm and sunny start to the day
I drove round the bay to Newlyn to visit Trelawney's Fish Shop as we had run out of our favourite - Hake
Almost right outside was this Puya berteroniana all the way from South America - saw them over on Tresco, but here the birds don't seem to have noticed them
When we first arrived in Perranuthnoe this super boat Snowdrop used to sail in front of us frequently, sadly she changed hands and we don't see much of her
Twighlight III heading out Through The Gaps
Lisa Jacqueline making her way in
Noisy pair of Herring Gull chicks up on a roof
Just really pleased they're not on my roof !
RNLI Lifeboats resting in the harbour today
Super Bottle Brush in flower at Church Farmhouse
We were walking in glorious sunshine, but could see clouds approaching from the West
They were moving quite fast
The older style Tamarisk along the cliffs are flowering on the sheltered side of the hedge
In just the few minutes that it took to reach Maen-dhu Point the cloud was overhead
Three wheels on my ........wheelybin - hope they supply a new one soon !
Nice big beach again
I wandered around the garden and found that the Perennial Foxgloves have suddenly appeared
and we don't remember this Honeysuckle ever flowering before
What a lovely Honeysuckle is it scented ? The fish looks lovely ... we bought there a few years ago and had a picnic in Morab Gardens.....not raw fish I hasten to add !! thanks Sue,macca.
ReplyDeleteI stuck my nose right into the Honeysuckle - not even a slight scent - the less showy one next to it has some scent, but not as wonderful as the wild one we have down here - wonderful in the evening ! Sue
DeleteFabulous recent pictures Sue, many thanks. That Puya in Newlyn is stunning - how do you know all the horticultural names? We also love little Snowdrop and always look for her enroute to Mousehole! Tried your Guestbook after Wednesday's blog!! Kathy P.
ReplyDeleteI know the Puya from Tresco Gardens where it was labelled - just remembered it and the googled the proper latin name. I often have to resort to my huge book of wild flowers, which takes an age - the internet always helps ! Your message has now appeared to me on the Guest Book - must have got stuck somewhere ! Have emailed you, so you have my address. Sue
DeleteThese are amazing views !!!!
