PERRANUTHNOE is a small village on the South Coast of Cornwall, just East of Marazion, there is a Car Park and sloping access to a safe sandy beach and the beachside Cabin Cafe. It has The Victoria Inn a superb multi award winning pub, which serves super food both lunchtimes & evenings, - a Church dating back as far as 1160. The Lynfield Centre which houses The Cowhouse Gallery, The Peppercorn Cafe and a hairdressers.

Wednesday - a few from St Agnes

 Always a favourite view - looking over the pool towards the old Lighthouse
 Periglis looking stunning
 But out on Wingletang the wind was still blowing a hooley and the sea was  quite wild

 Don't think we've ever seen these flowering along the back of Beady Pool before
 Sadly no reference boks with me and no idea what they are - look very Poppy style
 The wonderful view from  along the road close to the Turks Head Pub - looking over Gugh towards St Mary's
 After dinner walkies with the dogs as the sun was sinking into cloud
We then met one of our regular evening walking pals and got talking and then missed the sunset - well almost !

    Thanks Sue for sharing your holiday ! Scilly looks as wonderful as ever ! not sure but your Poppy could be a Yellow Horned-Poppy I stand to be corrected !! look as if today hasn't been quite so nice.I can hear thunder in the distance here ! and it's very black ! thanks again....enjoy.macca

      Yes, you are all correct - once you had said Yellow Horned Poppy I could look it up to check - don't remember seeing it before, but perhaps it is usually finished by now as lots of plants are quite late this year. Lots more photos to come ! After I've done the washing he he ! Sue

      Sadly the tides got worse and worse - getting in and out of St Martins is really bad now as the new Hotel Quay needs dredging and of course Bryher is often a problem - we managed to go before the Spring Tides. Loads of photos to do ! Sue

      Yes it was the Yellow Horned Poppy - should have googled yellow poppy and I might have found it. Interesting to see it - several plants along the back of Beady Pool. Sue

    Hello Sue, you are right, it is a poppy, coming from the mediterranean area. It is called Glaucium flavum and its german name is Gelber Hornmohn. Best ishes, Trixi
