A little more cloud this morning

The scaffolding has come down off the new house
After more than 6 months of trying to get someone to come to look at our electric underfloor heating which stopped working, a man came all the way from Reading this morning, and withing an hour had managed to trace the fault - right at the far end of the cable. Fortunately it was a fault in the Heatmat rather than the Electrician or builder, so Heatmat have to pay the £650 + VAT I've already filled in the hole and since he managed to get the tile out in one piece, all I have to do is stick it back down ! Yippee !
The summer clash of colour in the garden goes on !
SAR Sea King from RNAS Culdrose came overhead
I popped down to B&Q for some grout and when I got back it was looking lovely out there
More Cauliflowers have gone in since we last walked this way
Not sure if this rotating ball scares anybody
 Nice peaceful scene
Someones got through/over the fence and been munching the Cauliflowers
Always love this view over the palms in Trenow
 Boat Cove Trenow
Not as many people on the beach today
Bulk Carrier Amazing Salute came into the bay to anchor, but didn't stay long - off she went again, heading South
Bad shot of some of the gigs that came past us - quite a long way out - heading for Praa/Porthleven

  1. Your garden looks lovely. Your echiums look like mine. it is a shame when the flowers are gone and the bees have to go elsewhere.
As to the new house, are they going to render the lower half? I am sure it will soften up with landscaping and people will get used to it, although the style is rather commercial rather than residential. At least they are finished - well almost. The new build across from me has stalled since it started in 2013, and I hear that it won't be done until spring of 2016. I am so glad I don't have to look at the block work and the rubble 24/7.

    1. The Echiums are due to come out next time garden helper Robert comes - don't want them to fall over in a wind and crash onto the plants below. We've got hundreds of seedlings sprouting. Not sure if they are rendering the new house, or facing with some of the many tons of slate style rock that came out of the hole ! My sympathies about the part built house - seems to happen all the time doesn't it. Sue

  2. Garden looking beautiful. Had lunch in the Victoria, sat on the seat by the slipway for half an hour, tea & cake in Peppercorn looked out for Tilly & Wooster on our walk around the village. Surprised to see a new building going up in the garden opposite the back of Victoria. Our time out over fr too quickly but while we were there very relaxing.

    1. So pleased that you made it down our way ! Assume you mean the foundations on the other side of the road from The Victoria - being built by the owner of the house/garden think it will be a bit of a squeeze ! Sadly I gather that the lease for the Peppercorn is up for sale - you're not having much luck with your "favourite places to eat " We still miss The Old Vicarage last couple of times I've just gone to Truro on my own as without a nice spot to eat it's not really worth taking the dogs up there although they do love the rover walk. Had a tooth removed today after a failed root canal - so had a lie down this afternoon as it wouldn't stop bleeding. Feel an expensive dental implant coming on ! Sue
