Monday

After heavy overnight rain and a  very grey start, the day really improved
Think it's beach morning and evening this week

Nice and sunny as we walked the dogs this afternoon

 Quite a busy beach

We then walked up the track to Trebarvah
Lots of Swallows around today - heading South

Kestrel flew out of the hedge beside the path and up into our Cedar Tree - think it was eyeing up the Wood Pigeons again
Sunset has moved to the other side of the Palm Tree
And a little later it reflected pink light all round the bay

  1. First two days back over and done with. Wishing I was there! I think high tide must be about 5pm on Wednesday, if I recall it was 10.34(ish) last Thursday morning. My swallows are still here. I thought they had gone but they were tweeting this morning.

    1. So sorry we didn't get to see you again - we usually meet you out walking once Wendy has arrived. How long did the journey take ?
High Tide listed at 3.29pm today - neap tides, so not moving in and out much !
Forecast not great down here, but not much better up there either - was hoping for a good weekend as we wanted to get out and about !
Saw a Sodexo van in Hekston this morning and thought of you !

  2. Yes we were too. It took eight to Walsall, lots of road works at Bodmin, down to one lane in each direction but still made it to M5 before noon. Then, the fun started! Saturday we better we were home for about half past one.
I did notice a few *** in the tide book for this week. How ironic, I get the company car with Sodexo on next week. Fingers crossed weather gets better for you all. How is Tilly with the heat?

    1. We've heard much about the problems near Bodmin - we're hoping to get away really early to try to miss that when we go up-country.
Had some Scottish weather today - rain ! but not stormy or thundery - managed to escape that. Tilly isn't too bad at all, took her to the vets as she had tummy trouble again - vet thinks she might have Colitis - but is a little concerned about her coughing in hot weather, so will probably have to take her in for a thorough examination under anaesthetic when we get back from our trip - could be a weak larynx or enlarged heart - just signs of old age I suppose.
