Tuesday

Another beautiful start to the day - sadly this is forecast to be the last of the glorious days
Another cruise to Scilly for Scillonian III - they probably had a good view of many of the yachts taking part in the Fastnet Race - now being named the "slownet race" since the lack of wind has meant some of the hardly moving for hours
My turn to walk the dogs as Jim was off to Truro
The wonderful view of Mount's Bay from Trebarvah
Always sad to see Swallows on the lines looking South - out to sea
 Beautiful morning
Later on I heard lots of noise coming from a family of Buzzards - then noticed that there were actually five of them zooming around
 They than came much closer
Think that this one is the juvenile and it suddenly came swooping towards me on the balcony
It passed so close over my head that I felt the "swoosh" of air !
Wondered if this is a de-comissioned lifeboat crossing the bay
 Busy down on the beach
Two rows of cars on the potato field again as the car park and parking field were full
As well as the whole village and the lane  halfway up to  the Helston Road
People seem to think that the rules of the road don't count when they're on holiday - this was the corner of St Piran's Way - where the bus was trying to turn around for a long time - causing yet more havoc
A few more clouds this afternoon as we walked the dogs

Not many left on the beach
Possibly sunset !

  1. Summer seems so fleeting when the swallows are thinking of flying south. I wish I could say the same here. Warm and muggy air has given way to cooler onshore breezes, but joy, the temperatures will rise again into the 80s by the weekend. These weather forecasters think we want more of this? They tell us so gleefully as if we want this endless sun and heat. I would love to hear it will be grey and rainy for several days.

    1. Must admit we love the sunshine, but then complain that we are too hot. We are taking our Dyson fan to the Hotel with us as last time we were roasting and the windows don't open wide - due to the insects from the River Thames just outside ! Fog is due to last another couple of days - well possibly, you know what the forecasts are like here !
