St. Ives for the day !

Arriving at Carbis Bay
One of the big viaducts on the St Ives railway line - next to the Carbis Bay Hotel & Spa
St Ives Bay looking wonderful
The first part of the footpath to St Ives has been diverted through the grounds of the hotel
Up and over the railway line
Porthminster Point
Some lovely views from the footpath
 Godrevy Lighthouse
The very low Spring Tides showing off the wonderful sandy bay
Looking over Porthminster  Beach to the harbour
 Porthminster Beach
The St Ives Lifeboat The Princess Royal
She is to be replaced in November by one of the new Shannon Class lifeboats
No water in the harbour at all
The wind getting stronger during the day
We had a beautiful light lunch at the Porthmeor Beach Cafe and then walked West a little way  to give the dogs some time off the lead
Walking back past the harbour and the tide was coming in
Along the exclusive Hain Walk one of the older houses had been replaced by a  stunning new one
We stopped at  a layby on the road back to Penzance - such a super view from here, with The Mount sitting in a blue bay - with Trinity House Vessel Patricia behind
When we got home, Patricia was at anchor right in front of the house
 Another nice sunset

    1. Apologies ! yes I did get your email - meant to write back - then it sunk beneath the huge pile of unwanted rubbish I keep getting these days - try to keep deleting and asking to "unsubscribe" but they keep coming. Do hope that the weather hangs around for a while longer - the forecast isn't too bad for the next 5 days - after that we can only hope ! Sue
