Sun 13th Sept - Penlee Annual Sponsored walk

Next Sunday Wooster and I are going to be walking from Perranuthnoe around Mount's Bay to The Newlyn Lifeboat Station to help raise money for a proper and more suitable home for the crew.  I'm hoping to start a Virgin Money account for viewers of the blog to be able to donate a few pounds - will let you know when I've done that !

A very popular event in the fundraising calendar, this event has been 'running' (excuse the pun!) since the 1970's and always attracts young and old alike. A great chance to walk some of the Penwith coastline, take in the fresh air and support Penlee RNLI Branch fundraising.
This years route will take you from the lovely village of Perranuthnoe via the coastal path to Newlyn Lifeboat Station. Walkers are requested to obtain a sponsor form from the RNLI Shop in Penzance, the Lifeboat Station at Newlyn or from Janet Madron. Registration for the walk takes place between 9.15am and 9.45am at the bottom of the car park in Perranuthnoe.
The walk will end at the Lifeboat Station in Newlyn where refreshments will be provided. Please be aware that car parking is limited, so we strongly recommend that you organise a lift to Perranuthnoe and a pickup from Newlyn.
There may be limited options for a lift to the start, please ask if space is available.
Please help us to raise £200,000 towards our station appeal
