Sunday - The RNLI Penlee Sponsored Walk, Perranuthnoe to Newlyn

We did it - Mission accomplished !Here we are just starting out this morning.
Many many thanks to all those who donated money to sponsor Wooster and I the total is standing at
£403.00 - including Gift Aid.  Once again Thank you from us and the Crew at RNLI Penlee who really deserve a bigger and better Lifeboat Station.
Lovely morning and a lovely beach
Jim went on ahead up Maen-dhu Point to get some photos
Loyal Tilly went with him

Mount's Bay looking good from up there !
Penlee Coxswain Patch Harvey  striding off with his dogs

Wooster just being Wooster !
Super view of the walk we're doing
Working on the causeway to the left and the sailing club setting off
Lovely photo of Tilly by Jim as he turned towards Perranuthnoe
Up the hill past the cattle fields and onwards to home
Meanwhile Wooster and I continued on to Marazion which was really busy - well it is Half Term week

Over the Red River via the little bridge
Really busy as we then walked along the footpath/cycleway towards Penzance - so had to keep an eye on Wooster
Quite a crowd around the harbour to watch these radio controlled boats that were really racing around
Scillonian III on a day off - and she is just on Mon/Wed/Fri & Saturday next week and returning from Scilly at 2pm - but the forecast is for a windy week.
Love this view of The Mount
Walking down The Promenade towards Newlyn
 Looking back towards Jubilee Pool
Not sure how this wrecked car got onto the grass beside the Skate Park
Gave Wooster a nice run around as I walked down Newlyn Green then back on the lead as we passed Tom - keeping an eye on Mount's Bay as always
Not much water in the Coombe River as it flows out to sea
RNLI Penlee Lifeboat Ivan Ellen
So that was it, Jim came to collect us and we headed home

  1. It looked a lovely day for the walk, and well done for raising all that money.

    1. We were so very lucky with the weather as the day before it rained hard in the morning and the day after (today) it's wet, windy and cold. Not a good forecast for this week - such a pity as it's Half Term and Cornwall is busy.
