Friday

Not much to say really - grey and dismal, but at least the window company came and sorted the problem with the new window - new hinges fitted and lo and behold we can open it further than 3 inches without needing a pair of steps !
I walked the dogs up the hill as rain looked as though it might arrive in the next hour
In the event it didn't - it broke up & moved away before it reached Lands End
Christmas Cauliflowers & bright new wet weather gear !
 Waves were still quite large
Another delivery by the giant lorry - wish they'd told us they were coming !
This afternoon and the sun did try to appear, but unlike yesterday the cloud was just a bit too thick
Nice Winter flowering Camellia looking lovely in Greeb Way
Nasty looking clouds over to the West

Just never quite made it !

Very thin layer of cloud over the moon today

Looking for Piskies under the Mushrooms
During the evening my attention was drawn to a container ship - Samskip Express which had been around for a while apparently with no power and was drifting into Mount's Bay. It's still off Mullion, The tug MTS  Viscount set out from Falmouth and the vessel was under orders from HM Coastguard to accept a tow when requested. Unfortunately it appears that although it reached the container ship, the tug developed a problem and no tow has been established after several hours. The ship is fairly stable, but the weather is gradually getting worse.
