Thursday

Little pools of sunshine on the hills behind Penzance

The Grey Heron was back on Boat Cove
It flew off, but was then harassed by a couple of gulls
Mixture of blue and grey this morning
The sun suddenly found a way out of the black clouds

As I walked back towards the Car Park & village the sky ahead was much brighter

As I walked back through the village I spotted that Nikki & Babs, the new owners of The Peppercorn Kitchen Cafe were already loading goodies into the building
They're hoping to open at the weekend - very best of luck to them !
Just after lunch and the sky was looking very dramatic
It was a little brighter as we walked the dogs in the late afternoon
Spotted this bird down on Boat Cove - wasn't sure if it was Whimbrel or Curlew - but was told it's a Curlew - we rarely get them here on the coast - but they were a common sight on the Tresillian River banks
 Continually on the move
Several Redshanks were down there as well
Fine and still early evening
Dinner for the Cormorant that always seems to be off Maen-dhu Point
That's Better

No sunset this evening

    1. Jaw is feeling a bit bruised today, but not as bad as expected, but sadly lots more work needed - got a temporary cap on at the moment and another root canal needed - don't know who'll give in first, me or the bank balance. Love to see a Nuthatch - we used to have a regular visitor to the feeder at our little cottage on St Ives Holiday Village - it was in the middle of the woodland so we saw wonderful birds and used to hear the beautiful call of the Jays who did visit for peanuts occasionally.
I've managed to get the old template working on the blog and am making the wording larger - hope you can read it OK Hope your decorator comes back ! Sue

Have had to add the word verification as I am getting lots of obscene messages in the comments
